FLORIDA RECOVERY CENTER
The Florida Recovery Center (FRC) at the University of Florida offers evaluation and treatment of children,
adolescents, and adults with substance use problems requiring hospitalization and daily treatment in a
residential, non-hospital setting.
The program utilizes sophisticated medical and
neurological testing as well as traditional time-tested addiction
services and meetings. To help inpatients achieve abstinence, the program includes:
- medical and psychiatric evaluation and management
- detoxification
- relapse prevention
The FRC brings together some of the leading experts and learning institutions to help inpatients from throughout Florida
and many from out-of-state.
This state-of-the-art program is headed by Kenneth Thompson, M.D. and Scott Teitelbaum, M.D.,
two of the leading experts in addition medicine.
Academic support and thought leadership for the program is provided through a partnership between The FRC and the University of Florida College of Medicine's Division of Addiction Medicine.
If you are having substance abuse problems, or know of someone who does, please call the FRC to get advice and find out more about how the FRC may be able to help.
