9. Board Prepartion
a) Required both years
b) Faculty: Matthew Nguyen, M.D.
c) Review and prepare fellows/trainees for taking thier written and oral Child Psychiatry Boards
d) This conference is open to all staff and trainees.
e) 2 hours monthly during both years.
f) Goal and objectives: To focus on improving global conceptualization and formulation of patient psychopathology.
Knowledge:
- Review new pediatric psychopharmacology studies
- Practice formulation of the biopsychosocial model of description of psychopathology with an emphasis on clinical interviewing skills and assessment techniques with non-verbal information.
- Review Child PRITE exams aimed at understanding test taking techniques and strategies as well as reviewing concepts covered within these exams.

Attitudes:
- Commitment to increasing his/her knowledge in psychopharmacology, as evidenced by regular attendance, consistent preparation, and active participation in the discussions.
- Awareness of the limitations of exisiting evidence base supporting the medication treatment of childhood psychiatric disorders.
