It is also the mission of the division toparticipate in the development of a psychiatric workforce that is formally prepared to enter into public sector settings to provide not only direct care, but to also assume leadership positions as medical directors and administrators, particularly those psychiatrists working with individuals who often suffer from the most serious and persistent mental illnesses and who rely upon community-based, publicly-funded systems of care.

The Division of Medical Psychology is a national leader in the treatment and investigation of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Childhood Diabetes, Childhood Obesity, and Pediatric Treatment Adherence.
