Psychiatric Research Fellowship

The Department of Psychiatry offers a two-year fellowship in Psychiatric Research for selected residents who have completed the PGY-3 year of training. The fellowship is designed to prepare psychiatrists for a career in research. Activities will include preparing research protocols, assessing research subjects utilizing standardized instruments, and executing clinical trials and neurobiological studies. The trainee will be involved in on-going research projects and will be encouraged to develop a research project suitable for publication. The didactic component will include participation in courses on statistics and research design. Fellows will also be trained in laboratory-based measures. Faculty mentors will be selected to match the trainee's areas of interest. Research fellows with appropriate background may also participate in preclinical studies.
