Susan N. Hill

Ms. Hill graduated with a degree in nursing from Florida State University in 1979. She worked at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola for three years prior to entering the Master's Program at the University of Florida College of Nursing. She completed her degree in 1984 and is licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Psychiatry. She joined the Children's Mental Health Unit in 1985 and currently serves as an Associate in Psychiatry and Administrative Assistant in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Clinical Interests

Ms. Hill's clinical interests have been focused on treating children with Autism and related developmental disabilities on the Children's Mental Health Unit. She has also been the Director of the ADHD Clinic, treating children of all ages. Other clinical interests include: alternative medicine and eating disorders.

Research Interests and Scholarly Interests

Ms. Hill's current research interests include: Autism, Medical Ethics, and Alternative Medicine.

Educational Interests and Accomplishments

Ms. Hill has developed and presented didactic seminars to the psychiatric residents on alternative medical modalities, family therapy, and play therapy. She has also been involved in teaching Pediatric residents about Autism during the course of their Developmental Pediatric rotation on the Children's Mental Health Unit. She supervises Child Psychiatry Residents during their rotations on the Children's Mental Health Unit and in the Outpatient Child Psychiatry ADHD Clinic.

Leadership And Service

Ms. Hill is a member of the American Nurse's Association and Florida Nurse's Association.
