Research Activities
Research Research Faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida are engaged in projects covering a variety of interests including neuropsychiatric, forensic, behavioral, psychosocial, psychopharmacology, geriatric, substance abuse, health policy and services, and education. We are nationally recognized for our research on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Substance Abuse, Tourette’s Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Basic & Clinical Psychopharmacology, Neuroimmunology, and Gene-Environment Interactions in Abnormal Repetitive Movements. The department has a burgeoning research program in dynamic functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and proteomics.
