Funding Sources This page includes links to directories of available funding as well databases of awards made by various grant-making institutions. Funding Search Engines • Grants.gov is the single access point for over 900 grant programs offered by the 26 Federal grant-making agencies. It is a unified interface for all Federal agencies to announce their grant opportunities, and for all grant applicants to find and apply for those opportunities. • The NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts is the official publication for NIH medical and behavioral research grant policies, guidelines and funding opportunities. • Community of Science (COS) Funding Opportunities is a funding, fellowship and grant database, which provides funding information to practitioners and researchers alike. It is the most comprehensive funding and grant information resource on the web. • ResearchResearch Lite is the new home for the free online funding opportunities service formerly available at ScienceWise.com. ResearchResearch is a global provider of news and funding opportunities to the research community. ResearchResearch Lite is a cut-down version of what's available on the main site. • GrantsNet is a comprehensive listing of (with links to) science/medical grant listing sites compiled by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science). The user signs in (free) and can then pick an area of specialty for funding opportunities from over 700 federal and private sources. Also contains helpful short essays on grant writing, the federal grant review process, etc. • Foundation Center - Find Funders provides grantmakers' addresses, web sites, and fiscal data. • FedBizOpps.gov is the single government point-of-entry (GPE) for Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000. Government buyers are able to publicize their business opportunities by posting information directly to FedBizOpps via the Internet. Through one portal - FedBizOpps (FBO) - commercial vendors seeking Federal markets for their products and services can search, monitor and retrieve opportunities solicited by the entire Federal contracting community. • Health and Behavior Research Funding Directory features a compilation of research funding sources in the health-related behavioral and social sciences. • The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Grants Home Page describes new grant material now available online from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and provide information needed by applicants in responding to SAMHSA Requests for Applications (RFAs). • GrantsNet is a one-stop resource to find funds for training in the sciences and undergraduate science education.
